Screening & Monitoring
Screening and Monitoring provide key insights into your overall health. They allow for the early detection of potential issues before they become more serious. Whether you are managing an existing condition or just want reassurance that all is well, our GPs are here to provide you with all the support you need.

Why Health Screening Matters
Health screening is a process of checking for signs of illness or disease before symptoms present themselves. Conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or, in some cases, even early-stage cancers can develop silently over time. Catching diseases early significantly increases the chances of successful treatment and outcomes for patients. HearMed Medical Centre offers screening for individuals of all ages and health backgrounds. We highly recommend health screening tests if you have a family history of particular medical conditions, are in an older age bracket or you are entering a new life stage (e.g. menopause).
Comprehensive Health Checks
Your typical consultation with our GP will include a full review of your personal and family medical history, a physical examination as well as any necessary diagnostic tests.
Typical types of diagnostic tests carried out include:
- Blood pressure measurement (monitoring over time if needed)
- Cholesterol level testing
- Screening for diabetes (HbA1c or fasting glucose)
- Thyroid function test
- Liver and kidney function tests
- Body Mass Index (BMI) and weight assessment
- Urine sample analysis
- Cardiovascular risk assessment
Your GP will review the relevant results of conducted tests and go through them in detail with you. Our focus is always on early intervention for our patients. Where needed, a follow up care plan will be put in place.
Cancer Screening
We provide our patients with routine cancer screenings and custom risk-based assessments. Typical screening services include the following;
- Breast examination and referral for mammography (if clinically indicated by examination results)
- Cervical smear tests
- Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood testing for men who have prostate health concerns
- Bowel cancer risk assessment and FIT (Faecal Immunochemical Test)
Follow up investigations or referrals to specialists will be arranged in cases where any types of abnormalities are detected.
Patients Living With Chronic Conditions
For patients who are living with chronic diseases or have a family history of such diseases, regular monitoring is especially important. Our GPs can carry out periodic assessments for such patients, monitoring important key health indicators over time. This way, any changes or developments can be detected and tackled at the earliest stage possible. When it comes to chronic disease management, information, guidance and medical support are paramount.
